Dr Ellie Pridgeon, BA, MA, PhD, Arch Dip, FSA

Dr Ellie Pridgeon wrote her PhD (2010) on St Christopher wall paintings in England and Wales (c.1250-c.1525) at the University of Leicester, under the supervision of Professor Phillip Lindley. This project was assisted by a funding grant from NADFAS.

Ellie has been assisting Dr Miriam Gill with the Churches Conservation Trust Wall Painting project, and working as a consultant for various bodies, including English Heritage.

Ellie is Director of Consultant Archivist, an organisation specialising in providing support for across the archive and heritage sector. Since 2013, Ellie has undertaken consultancy work for over 100 organisations. Recent clients include the Imperial War Museum and the Museum of London.

Ellie has previously worked at the Science Museum, Wiltshire Museum (Devizes), Museum of the Home, St Paul’s Cathedral, Britten-Pears Foundation, and the University of Bristol Library and Special Collections. She is now Senior Archivist (job share) for the British Empire and Commonwealth Collection based at Bristol Archives.

Ellie is Archivist and council member of the Church Monuments Society, a Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries of London, Trustee of the National Jazz Archive, and a Director at Leicester Vaughan College.
